Australian film chosen for frontieres genre market

Rogue Production's project BLOOD BORNE (writer/director FIN EDQUIST) has been chosen as one of the 14 featured projects for this year's inaugural international market place for genre films at the Fantasia Festival in Montreal in July.

"Montreal's Fantasia International Film Festival, widely acclaimed as one of the largest and most influential genre film festivals in the world, is embarking on its 16th edition with a major new industry-driven venture: the Frontières International Co-Production Market. Frontières is the first international co-production market to connect North-American with Europe and Australasia, in an environment focused specifically on genre film production.

The projects to be presented in the market have now been chosen and feature an exciting array of filmmakers, from gifted newcomers to world-renowned maestros, as well as numerous established international producers. The selection of the first edition of Frontières will consist of 14 projects.

BLOOD BORNE is the fourth of Fin/Edquist's projects will which will be presented at international markets this year. THE KINGDOM and BOMBER, are producer Mish Armstrong's headliner projects at Cannes this month and BAD GIRL makes its debut for producer Steve Kearney, also at the Cannes Festival.

BLOOD BORNE returns to the origins of the vampire myth to explore how Vlad the Impaler's grisly crimes have been romanticised.
