Australians in Film today launched AiF Upload, an online short film festival with cash prizes of $US500 for the winner and $US250 for the runner-up.
AiF members are invited to share their original works through Instagram. Shorts from all genres including animation, artistic, comedy, drama, action and documentary will be considered.
A selection of 10 shorts will be hand-picked by AiF and uploaded to AiF’s IGTV channel starting Monday August 13 (US time). On August 24 AiF will announce the best of the bunch, the Jury prize, and the fan favourite – the short that gained the most Instagram likes/views. The jury prize winner will receive $US500 cash with the fan favourite getting $US250.
Submissions are open until Monday August 6 US time via WuFoo.com. The 10 best will be uploaded to AiF’s IGTV channel, which can be accessed directly through AiF’s Instagram profile @australiansinfilm or by downloading the IGTV app. People from around the world will then vote to determine the fan favourite.
