The juries for the 2012 Hugo Television Awards have announced the award winners for this year’s competition, and Australian Director Peter Andrikidis (Underbelly, East West 101, The Kings of Mykonos) has been awarded the 'Silver Plaque Special Achievement: Direction' for his telemovie Blood Brothers.
Produced by Playmaker Media, the 90-minute crime thriller about the grisly Gilham family murders in Sydney stars Lisa McCune (Blue Heelers), Tony Martin (False Witness) and Michael Dorman (Daybreakers), and aired on Channel Nine in May 2011.
Blood Brothers was expressly chosen from a long list of submissions, both domestic and international for the award.
The official awards ceremony will be held on April 19 in Chicago.
