[Release by the NTFO]
The Northern Territory Film Office (NTFO) is engaging with members of the screen industry and those connected to it, in dialogue and exploration of where our region’s industry could evolve to in the next 10 years, and the role the NTFO could play in that transformation.
Doug Macnamara, President and Chief Executive of Banff Executive Leadership and Principal of the International Institute of Television/Media Leadership has been engaged as a consultant to guide this process.
Doug has successfully completed similar work for ScreenWest in Western Australia, and is currently working with New South Wales’ Film and Television Office, as well as in Europe and Canada.
A steering committee, chaired by Brian Rosen, producer and former Chief Executive of the Film Finance Corporation (now Screen Australia), the peak federal screen funding agency, has been established.
With a membership of 12, the committee has the task of working closely with the Doug over the next eight months, to develop and refine visions and strategies for the screen industry.
