Catch a new Taxi

“Industry, follow that Taxi!”

New media
To service new and emerging client needs, Taxi is embracing an exciting new shift in direction.  An added bent towards new media and branded content has broadened their service offering.  Flexibility, the right infrastructure, and a multi-disciplinary ‘pool’ of directors allows Taxi to take on projects of any form – whether it’s a TVC, on-air branding, music video, title package, viral spot or promo.

Housed in Brisbane and Sydney offices, Taxi’s unique, ‘pooled talents’ of directors Liz Murphy, David Barker, Gavain Browne and Jack Wareham definitely allow the company the ability to tap into the latest opportunities that the new world of technology has created.

New blood
With an award winning design background and extensive post knowledge, Gavain Browne plays a key role in Taxi’s shift.  Recently working as a Design Director for the likes of Red Bee Media, London (formally BBC broadcast) and zspace Sydney, Gavain has solid international experience and a roster of leading broadcast and commercial clients to his name including ITV3 (UK), ABC Television, The Disney Channel, The Nine Network and UKTV.

New logo
Aligning with Taxi’s shift in direction is a brand spanking new logo. The Taxi website has also undergone a significant overhaul in line with the new, broader offering.  The fresh identity complements real improvements and progression in the business, but the philosophy at Taxi hasn’t changed.

“We believe our clients are our partners, we strive to understand their needs and the metrics that are critical to their business and then deliver with highly personal service,” says Executive Producer Andrew Wareham.

“Flexibility and innovation will be integral parts of Taxi’s ethos, the industry is presenting an emerging need to embrace new media and branded content so we need to be geared, not stand still,” he adds. Wareham believes that for Taxi, these new channels don’t have to be a diversion from TVC’s, rather a complement to them.

“We have diversified our commercial production into other forms of marketing and advertising whilst still focusing on our core TVC projects,” he said.

New building
Behind the new look logo, there’s been a move into a newly refurbished building in Brisbane. The custom layout is not only set up for great work; the Taxi team certainly understand the importance of a good bar fridge and social hub (some things never change). Some things do.
