Cause Film Festival is a new Film Festival with a good heart. All films submitted must be in support of a charity, a good cause or have a positive message.
Entries are currently open and will close on the 14th of September 2014, followed by the Awards night on the 4th of October 2014 in Sydney.
The profits raised through the festival will be divided between the Main cause of the festival – Ovarian Cancer Awareness and the Charity/Cause of the winning film.
Yolandi Franken, Festival Director believes that most people have something they feel strongly about and most people want to spread a message about something. For film makers the best way to express their views ad to reach a larger audience is to create films.
“Originally I wanted to create this festival only to create awareness of my cause – Ovarian Cancer, but I realised that I would rather help other film makers support their causes as well" says Yolandi.
Although raising as much funds as possible is a big goal, spreading our messages is equally important.
"I am hoping to make this an annual event and I believe that it will make a difference to the world."
There are some great prizes donated already from Metro Screen, Cato Logistics, Camera Hire, Katherine Beck, Kanj Art, etc. And the list keeps growing.
Yolandi says that she is surprised and extremely blessed to have received the support that has from the community. It is heart-warming and has given me new faith in humanity”.
