Launching this May, Cloakroom is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist and composer David Spall. The Melbourne-based company is a one-stop-shop servicing the many and varied needs of the advertising, film and television industry.

"Everything is done in-house," explains Spall, "This means initial brainstorming of ideas – pen to paper, composition and arrangements, performance recording, mixing, and finally mastering to the required format for delivery."

With a professional edge informed by Spall's wide-ranging experience, Cloakroom prides itself on creating resolved sonic brands in close consultation with their clients; redrawing the traditionally removed relationships between advertising agencies and composers.

With a clear understanding of time-lines and expectations, Cloakroom also creates original music for film and TV productions.

Says Spall, "We are small but we work smart and relentlessly hard for our cooperative partners. I'd like to think that Cloakroom is the agency that people come to when they want something more than just 'music' behind their creative project. Basically, we aim to help creative decision makers communicate their message better via the relationship between image and sound."
