Engine Animation wins 5 at PromaxBDA Awards

Press release from Engine Animation

The campaign which Engine created with US Sydney for SBS for the controversial documentary series 'Immigration Nation' won five awards over the weekend at the PromaxBDA ANZ Awards in Sydney. The creative for Immigration Nation, developed by Engine and US Sydney, was executed across TV, radio, online and print.

The 'Immigration Nation' promos won Gold in Best Documentary or Factual Entertainment Promo, Best Use of Typography and Best Design Without Footage and Silver for Most Outstanding Promo of the Year.

Engine EP Adam Wells said, “These awards are a great achievement for SBS, US Sydney and of course Engine. To be selected as the production and design studio to work on such great creative is, in itself, gratifying. Immigration Nation was a thoroughly inspiring project to work on, with the agency and Engine teams developing a creative and trusting relationship on the production. We are very proud of the creative and these awards.”

Engine CD Simon Robson added, “We are absolutely thrilled at the success of Immigration Nation at the PromaxBDA ANZ Awards this year. It is the premier Australian/New Zealand Awards for creative excellence in television marketing and promotion, and to take home five awards for this creative is great recognition of both the fantastic, thought-provoking campaign and of the hard work of teams at SBS and US Sydney."

The PromaxBDA ANZ Awards recognise excellence in on-air promotion, branding and advertising. The awards are open to Satellite, Cable, Broadcast Television, Radio Station and associated new media, their agencies and production houses.
