Filmmakers back Ovarian Cancer education

Press release from Insight Communications

For Australia Day, TV Producer/Director Deborah Kuleff joined Jean Kittson and 10 women from many walks of life to communicate Ovarian Cancer Australia’s Australia Day Health Message to educate Australian women about the risks and symptoms of this life-threatening disease.

At 11am, Jean Kittson and the 11th Hour Ambassadors called on all Australian women to learn the symptoms of ovarian cancer and not leave it til the 11th hour.

Australian women are proactive with breast cancer detection because of the self examination awareness campaign undertaken a number of years ago. We want to inform women about the misconceptions surrounding ovarian cancer and that women can be proactive with ovarian cancer detection by understanding, recognising and acting on symptoms.

If women know the symptoms, they can listen to their body. Awareness is vital.
