The heat didn’t keep Flickerfest from touring the best short films from around the world to capacity audiences in Byron Bay, Darwin, Katherine and Alice Springs.
Flickerfest is now off to ADELAIDE & AVOCA this weekend.
Flickerfest will be hitting the Mercury Cinema in Adelaide Friday February 6th, screening the International 1 Programme featuring the 2009 Academy® Award nominated film ‘On The Line’ along with Natalie Portman’s directorial debut ‘Eve’.
Free drinks and nibbles from 6:30pm and Festival Director Bronwyn Kidd will be in attendance to meet and greet.
South Australian audiences will also get a special screening of the film ‘Past Midnight’ from the 2009 Australian competition, written and directed by Adelaide filmmaker Vicki Sugars & produced by Scott McDonald. Please visit www.mercurycinema.org.au
Flickerfest also hits Avoca on with Opening Night drinks on Friday February 6th and continuing on Saturday February 7th at the Avoca Beach Picture Theatre.
Avoca audiences will also get a taste of Oscar – with the 2009 Academy® Award nominated short ‘Lavatory Love Story’ screening in the International 2 Programme. Continuing the Hollywood theme is Flickerfest’s programme of Celebrity Shorts screening on Saturday February 7th, featuring shorts made by the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Kirsten Dunst, Lars Von Trier and Bob Geldof.
