The Franki Show is independently produced by indie duo filmmakers Bonnie Carter and Joey Harrison, and they are thrilled to have successfully entered the arena with the big boys and girls.
Hailed as the ‘internet’s highest honor’ by the New York Times and often called the ‘Oscars of the internet’, the Webby Awards honors outstanding work, work which sets standards for the Internet. The Franki Show’s Official Honoree selection is a testament to the hard work and vision of its two creators and an inspiration for other indie filmmakers to continue producing low budget independent work.
Selected from nearly 10,000 entries from 50 states and over 60 countries in the world, The Franki Show was competing in the Online Film and Video ‘Variety’ category, with some impressive heavyweight companies such as NBC, TED, PBS and AOL.
Needless to say, the Franki Show team is incredibly excited about their Webby recognition.
