‘Ginger and the Vegesaurs’ (Season 2 First Look)

The second season of Cheeky Little Media’s preschool comedy Ginger and the Vegesaurs will begin airing on the ABC from May 29, 7.50am.

With a new episode each week day, season two sees Ginger, an inquisitive young Tricarrotops and the pod of baby Pea-Rexes throwing themselves into further fun and adventure in the rich and colourful Vegesaur Valley.

From the depths of the crystal lake Ginger and her pals come across the huge and friendly Watermelonsuchus; on the snowy mountains they meet a woolly-skinned Kiwimammuthus; and on the plains of the valley floor they encounter a small and feisty Beetrootasaurus.

Cheeky Little Media produced the series, aimed at children aged 3-6, using Unreal Engine.

Ginger and the Vegesaurs is created by Gary Eck and Nick O’Sullivan, who executive produce with Patrick Egerton and David Webster. Directors are Webster and Cindy Scharka, and writers Sylvie van Dijk, Bruce Griffiths, Sam Carroll and Caitlin Farrell.

Executive producer for the ABC is Jo Boag, with ABC head of children’s Libby Doherty.

Major production investment comes via Screen Australia in association with the ABC, with distributor Studio100 providing further finance. Post, digital and visual effects was supported by Screen NSW.
