The 1978 classic, Halloween, is still regarded as one of the best horror films.
Directed by John Carpenter, Halloween was made on a reported budget of just $US325,000. There are now 10 films in the franchise, including two from director Rob Zombie.
The film's star is of course Michael Myers, who murders his older sister as a young boy and returns 15 years later after escaping from a psychiatric hospital to kill more teenagers.
