The highly anticipated third season of the Logie Award-winning Australian drama House Husbands will go to air on Monday, June 9 after The Voice on Channel Nine, bringing trouble, laughter and three big additions to the cast in 2014.
Joining the esteemed cast of Gary Sweet (Lewis), Firass Dirani (Justin), Gyton Grantley (Kane), Rhys Muldoon (Mark), Julia Morris (Gemma), Natalie Saleeba (Abi), Anna McGahan (Lucy) and Georgia Flood (Phoebe) will be Academy Award-nominated actor Rachel Griffiths, The Voice host Darren McMullen, and one of Australia’s most engaging young actors, Lincoln Lewis.
This season Belle, played by Griffiths, will cause tension in the Crabb household and unsettle the seemingly rock-solid relationship between Gemma and Lewis.
Lincoln Lewis’s character Ned is a mysterious newcomer whose shady past will divide the close-knit families and change their lives forever.
Darren McMullen will play Alex, an eccentric librarian who sets the heart of one of the favourite House Husbands characters fluttering.
“The third season of House Husbands is shaping up to be our most impressive production of the series to date, especially with the addition of Rachel, Lincoln and Darren to an already stellar cast,” Executive Producers David Maher and David Taylor said. “We’re thrilled to be creating Australian drama that resonates so strongly with so many people.”
Nine’s Heads of Drama, Jo Rooney and Andy Ryan, welcomed the return of House Husbands: “We are excited to be launching a third season of House Husbands. This award-winning drama continues to go from strength to strength and season three will definitely demonstrate that.”
House Husbands is a Playmaker Media production for the Nine Network.
