Ie music to merge with music sales company Inertia

Leading Australian music sales & marketing company Inertia and global artist management firm ie:music announced today that they are teaming up to create a new full service artist management venture, ie:inertia.

ie:inertia will aim to offer artists a locally based, experienced management team with an established worldwide support network. Combining Inertia’s sales, marketing, publicity, merchandise & touring services with ie:music’s global management, marketing , licensing and sponsorship experience; ie:inertia will offer a full worldwide service solution for Australasian artists.

“Inertia has built a reputation for providing artists and labels a high level service experience across industry platforms such as manufacturing, distribution, sales, publicity, marketing, merchandise and touring. It’s our aim to extend those services to include artist management providing full support including funding for new artists.”

ie:music’s Dan Medland, who recently moved to Australia to manage Ladyhawke and Passenger, will oversee the new venture based at Inertia’s Sydney offices. In addition to his role with ie:inertia, Dan will continue to work with the existing ie:music roster.
