IF launches new website, including premium content and comprehensive development and production listings

You might have noticed over the last few days that if.com.au has started sporting a new look. Yes, we’ve had some work done – a digital facelift, if you will. Not only do we think we look better for it, we believe the site is now cleaner and more modern. We hope it will make reading our content a better experience, whether you’re on the go, on set or behind a desk.

Looks, of course, aren’t everything. We’ve got brains too. Our website upgrade now allows us to deliver you premium content on top of our regular coverage; in-depth features, opinion, analysis and business and talent profiles full of rich media. It’s the IF you know and love – covering everything from production, distribution, exhibition and tech – but bigger and better. To let you try it out, we’re offering a two-month free trial.

Take up an annual premium content subscription, and you can also sign-up to our In Production listings, covering feature film, scripted television, documentary and factual. Currently we have 124 listings for projects in development, 35 in pre-production, 38 in production and 90 in post-production. We’ll be adding and updating the listings daily; we believe we’re creating the most comprehensive snapshot of the production landscape in Australia. In the future, we plan to integrate these listings with the 18,000+ contact details contained within our directory, the IF Production Book, offering you a fast and simple way to find work, see people’s credits and connect with creatives, crew, businesses and suppliers. To that end, going forward we will no longer publish The Production Book in print, but we believe our new digital offering is more in step with modern production.

For more than 25 years, IF has been at the frontline of Australian screen business. Yes, our team is small, but we believe our tight editorial focus is why we have cemented our name as the country’s leading screen trade title. Your subscription supports us to be able to continue to deliver this independent, authoritative coverage of our local screen sector and keep you informed. All subscriptions are also tax deductible.

We’d love to hear your feedback on our new website, premium content and In Production listings (including if you have a production for us to list or update). Don’t feel afraid to reach out.
