PRESS RELEASE from KOJO
“We have been looking for a creative and driven storyteller who loves our business and has a vision for making a difference across various communication strategies,” KOJO Chief Executive Loewn Steel said.
"Mike is the ideal person to take on the new role of Creative Director. He has global experience and worked on campaigns for some of the world’s most recognised brands. His work has won major prizes at industry awards including Cannes, AWARD, Caxton and One Show.”
Ms Steel said Mr Wilson’s appointment was in line with KOJO’s strategy to build its presence, particularly along the eastern seaboard.
“In the role of Creative Director, Mike will spearhead KOJO’s expanding digital, events, entertainment and experiential offering to its corporate clients,” she said.
“Mike will also be a key asset in our collaborations with advertising agencies and media companies as we continue to improve our range of services to the industry.”
Over the past 15 years Mr Wilson has created internationally recognised campaigns for Vodafone, Stella Artois, MINI, NZ Lotteries and Pacific Blue. He has held positions both as a Senior Writer and a Head of Art, and has fulfilled the role of Creative Director four times on both sides of the Tasman. Mr Wilson will join KOJO from mid May and will split his time between the firm’s Adelaide and Melbourne offices.
His appointment comes as KOJO has recently expanded its team of directors with the appointment of Stephen de Villiers. With an impressive number of short films to his name and list of festival accolades, Mr de Villiers joins a highly talented and creative team of directors at KOJO with global experience across film, drama, comedy, documentaries, corporate videos and advertising.
Celebrating its 21st year, KOJO specialises in content, digital, events and post production with offices in Adelaide and Melbourne servicing national and global clients.
