Lune Media, headed by Leonie Lowe, officially opened in Australia today, celebrating with the company’s first commission, A Donna Hay Christmas, a one-hour special for The Lifestyle Channel (FOXTEL).
Leonie Lowe is regarded as one of the television industry’s most innovative and creative executives. She has created Lune Media to produce non-scripted television programs for audiences throughout the world. Leonie aims to establish a strong creative and dynamic environment for an ever-increasing demand for leading content.
“I’m delighted to launch Lune Media and continue my track-record of delivering outstanding television programming. This is an exciting new beginning in my professional life and I look forward to a wonderful journey,” said Leonie.
Leonie has worked in the television industry for twenty years starting in 1988 in live events; then moving to the Seven Network and various independent production companies working on all genres of production. She joined Granada in January 2002 as Head of Production and was promoted to Director of Production in 2004. In February 2006, she was appointed Acting CEO of Granada Australia (now trading as ITV Studios Australia), and was appointed Managing Director in April 2006.
“I am thrilled to be working with Donna Hay to produce the one hour special ‘a donna hay christmas’ which will air on FOXTEL’s Lifestyle Channel later this year. Donna is a wonderful talent and our format for this show will bring a new flavour to the way food styling and preparation is captured on television,” added Leonie.
