Next year’s Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) is getting a makeover thanks to new CEO/conference director Britt Arthur.
The event will aim to open new doors for financing beyond the established and traditional broadcasters by bringing international digital publishers, VOD services and content aggregators to the table.
After extensive industry consultation, AIDC 2016 will also include expert sessions devoted to craft, professional development, marketplace trends and technology.
There will be sessions devoted to specialist factual, formatted series, unscripted entertainment, impact producing and Virtual Reality.
Taking place at Melbourne’s Australian Centre for the Moving Image from February 28 – March 2, the conference will also provide a range of pitching, co-production and networking opportunities including International Pitching Day to facilitate new projects and business.
The 2016 theme, full program and registration details will be released on December 2 at www.aidc.com.au
Established in 1987, AIDC is the leading forum in Asia-Pacific for the non-fiction screen sector, fostering co-production opportunities and partnerships across territories and supporting content creators and broadcasters in Australia.
