SBS has partnered with Genero.tv to invite Australian filmmakers to Join in, by exploring and celebrating in film what it is to be an Australian today.
Filmmakers are invited to creatively interpret SBS's Join in invitation and create engaging films highlighting what it is to be Australian. This project is a call to all Australians to Join in by exploring and celebrating what it is to be an Australian in all our richness and diversity.
Join in is SBS’s new brand initiative informed by SBS’s unique Charter to reflect Australia’s multicultural diversity by encouraging all Australians to connect with SBS as a place for cultural exchange. All films must be 60 seconds or less, produced in Australia and uploaded via the campaign page on Genero: www.genero.tv/sbs
In an effort to support independent filmmakers to engage in the conversation of diversity in Australia, nine selected filmmakers will share in a production pool of $30,000, and these films will be used as part of SBS's Join in campaign on SBS.com.au, SBS's social media channels and possibly on SBS Television.
Join in invites all Australians to experience, explore and celebrate diversity in all its forms.
