The Australian Production Design Guild today announced the annual APDG Awards would be held on Tuesday, November 19, hosted by Australian director Stephan Elliott (A Few Best Men, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert). The Awards bring together the industry’s top talent to honour excellence in their craft.
APDG Director George Liddle said “The APDG is delighted that Stephan Elliott, director of the iconic Priscilla Queen of the Desert, has agreed to host the 2013 APDG Awards. Stephan’s pre-eminence in writing and directing for film and theatre is well recognised and having worked with Stephan on a number of projects I can testify to his love and understanding of design. His eye for design is well demonstrated in all his work. Looking forward to a fun filled evening with Stephan leading the way.”
Prizes will be presented in a total of nineteen categories including, for the first time, Set Decoration on a Feature Film, Set Decoration on a Television Drama, and Lighting Design for Stage or Event Production.

13. Make-Up and Prosthetic Make -Up Design
14. Drawing Award [concept , story board, character, 3D computer]
15. Visual Effects Design
16. Title Design
17. Stage and Screen Craft Award
18. Student Design
19 Outstanding Contribution to Design
Nominees in all categories will be announced in late October.
