Baz Luhrmann's 'Elvis' and Helium Pictures' 'Last King of the Cross' were awarded best sound for feature film and television series, respectively, at the Australian Screen Sound Guild Awards held on Saturday.
New seasons of Helium drama 'Last King of the Cross' and ABC children's program 'Spooky Files', as well as a sequel to 2003 crime caper 'Gettin Square', have been included in the latest round of production funding from Screen Australia, which will support 11 projects with $6.9 million.
The second season of Helium's 'Last King of the Cross' will see the addition of two new members to the Ibrahim family, with Dave Hoey and Alex Kaan joining the cast as Michael and Fadi Ibrahim, respectively.
British actor Naveen Andrews, known for his roles in 'Lost' and 'The Dropout', will play the lead antagonist, Ray Kinnock, in the second season of 'Last King of The Cross'.
