The epic four-part series from Goalpost Television will air over two weeks, starting October 13 at 9.30pm on SBS and SBS On Demand.
SBS thriller series 'Safe Home' follows Phoebe (Aisha Dee), a twenty-something professional who leaves her job at a prominent law firm to work at a struggling family violence legal centre.
'The Tailings' explores the experience of two women confronting the paradoxical layers of grief. The 6 x 10 minute digital drama series, to debut on SBS on Demand April 2, follows the events that take place after the death of teenage Jas’s father.
Written and directed by Steve Anthopoulos, 'Voice Activated' tells the story of Trent – a florist and deliveryman who has a stutter – who is forced to find his voice in order to operate a voice-activated car.
Created by Anna Barnes, SBS thriller 'Safe Home' is the first project to be produced under Imogen Banks’ Kindling Pictures, with Emelyne Palmer co-producing and Stevie Cruz-Martin directing.
"I like the attention we put on having much more well-rounded female characters but I get a little bee in my bonnet sometimes when all this focus gets put on these 'strong female characters'. Women are just strong - that’s how it is."
Australians in Film has unveiled the six finalists for this year's Heath Ledger Scholarship, with Max Brown, Mabel Li, Rahel Romahn, Andrea Solonge, Zoe Terakes, and Harvey Zielinski to contend the 2021 prize.
