Having shot several of their music videos, Kriv Stenders is set to direct a documentary on Aussie band The Go Betweens.
Submissions are now open for the 2017 Lexus Australia Short Film Fellowship, which gives four emerging filmmakers $50,000 each to produce a short to premiere at the 2018 Sydney Film Festival.
Anya Beyersdorf, Alex Ryan, Brooke Goldfinch and Alex Murawski were chosen from a shortlist of 21 filmmakers, whittled down to four by Davis, SFF Director Nashen Moodley, Lexus Australia's Adrian Weimers, Jan Chapman and Darren Dale.
Those films include Sing Street, Swiss Army Man, The Lure, Personal Shopper, Aquarius, Wednesday 9 May, Paterson, Tokyo Story, Weiner, Tickled and Janis: Little Girl Blue.
The Sydney Film Festival has added eight new films and one restoration to its program, including films starring Kristen Stewart, Adam Driver and Marlon Brando.
