Screenworks will bring leading film and TV drama executives to the NSW Northern Rivers for a one day seminar in August.
Screenworks has unveiled its Screen Australia-backed initiative to support female regional filmmakers: The Athena Project.
The Athena Project is a two-day career development residential workshop in Byron Bay to be held in November; one of 13 projects supported by Screen Australia's Genders Matters: Brilliant Careers program.
Following a nationwide call out, Screenworks has selected 12 female filmmakers from across regional Australia to participate in its upcoming career enhancement program, The Athena Project.
Tatiana Velasco and Mark George, two up-and-coming producers from northern NSW, have been selected to participate in Screenworks' 2017 Regional Producer Elevator Program.
The program is now open to producers living and working throughout all of regional NSW.
Nineteen companies, whittled down from 122 applications, will share in $2.9 million worth of Enterprise Funding from Screen Australia.
