‘Family Food Fight.’
The US ABC network has commissioned a US version of Family Food Fight, the Endemol Shine Australia (ESA) format developed with the Nine Network.
Endemol Shine North America will produce an eight-part series hosted by restaurateur, food maven and cookbook author Ayesha Curry.
The show will see eight families from across the country vying for the title of America’s No. 1 food family and a $US100,000 prize. It is the first international deal for the format. Nine has commissioned a second series.
Lisa Perrin, CEO of Creative Networks, Endemol Shine Group said: “It is a fresh, fun and diverse show which celebrates all the best aspects of a successful family friendly format. We’re sure that deal with ABC in the US will supercharge interest in the series in other territories and look forward to seeing what the teams do with it for the ABC audience.”
ESA CEO Mark Fennessy added: “We’re delighted that Family Food Fight is set to go international with a new home and partner in ABC. As the second Australian series ramps up we’re confident this is the first of many new territories taking on a unique format that puts passionate multi-cultural and multi-generational foodie families to the test”.
Last year Endemol Shine Group produced more than 800 shows in 78 territories airing on more than 275 channels around the world. The slate includes Black Mirror, Big Brother, Deal or No Deal, Humans, Hunted, MasterChef, Peaky Blinders, The Island, The Brain, Tin Star and Your Face Sounds Familiar.
In the latest commission, ESA will produce the talent show All Together Now, which sees solo and group singers perform in front of a judging panel of 100, for the Seven Network.
