X-Men: First Class exclusive Blu-Ray clip

Directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kick Ass), X-Men: First Class is the fifth instalment in the series and is a prequel to the first three films.

Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

Set in the 1960s, the superhero blockbuster – which grossed more than $US350 million worldwide – is now available on Blu-Ray and DVD through Twentieth Century Fox. The Blu-Ray is packed with more than two hours of exclusive content including eight behind-the-scenes features, extended and deleted scenes and picture-in-picture interactivity.

One of the key features exclusive to First Class is the Cerebro: Mutant Tracker. Just how Professor X does it, Cerebro: Mutant Tracker will offer fans an interactive experience by granting them access to the minds of the mutant characters featured in all five of the X-Men films. In all, the Mutant Tracker has over 40 mutant profiles and videos to explore.

IF has obtained an exclusive Blu-Ray/DVD clip, which can be seen below. For a full feature on the VFX, click here.
