AIDC calls for small ideas

Press Release from AIDC:

The Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) is calling for session ideas for the 2010 Conference.

AIDC 2010 will have an international focus with a conference theme of "It’s a small world after all". If you have an idea that fits the theme, submit your proposal by October 1, 2009.

People around the world are connected through wires, planes, trains and automobiles as well as relationships and shared emotions. The recent events on the financial markets brought a rather disturbing connectivity and interdependency to the surface.

The central questions at AIDC 2010 will be: how has this international connectivity changed the demand for documentary products, the type of stories that are being told and the way programs are being made? The Conference will look at the practical and creative sides of documentary film making from the perspective of being a citizen of the world.

If your session idea is successful, you will have the opportunity to produce it yourself (with the assistance of the AIDC team) and network with the leading people in your field of interest at the Conference. You will also be recognized as one of the AIDC Session Producers and receive registration discounts.

Session ideas can be emailed to Conference Director Joost den Hartog at joost@aidc.com.au or the AIDC Office at info@aidc.com.au
For more information about the Conference or theme please visit the AIDC website.
