The ABC’s Q&A panel will return to Screen Producers Australia’s Screen Forever on November 20 to debate the big issues facing the screen industry.
Convened exclusively for the conference and not for broadcast, the forum hosted by Virginia Trioli will include audience questions and a live Twitter feed.
The event is expected to reflect a diverse range of views as a safe space to query the status quo and respectfully debate differences, according to SPA.
The panel will comprise Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young, inventor and futurist Dr Jordan Nguyen, actor Brooke Satchwell (Neighbours, Mr Inbetween), Think TV CEO Kim Portrate, Token Group MD Kevin Whyte and FremantleMedia Australia/New Zealand CEO Chris Oliver-Taylor.
SPA CEO Matt Deaner said: “This year’s panel will no doubt proffer opinions as to the future of screen content – the role of VR and related technologies, the outlook for content quotas and the power of existing and new platforms.”
Delegates registered for Screen Forever are invited to submit their questions for consideration by the producers of Q&A, care of SPA’s Owen Johnston, by 5pm this Friday.
