AIDC announced today at the Australian Film Television and Radio School in Sydney, the expansion of its annual conference with the introduction of DocWeek.
DocWeek will take place at several venues around Adelaide’s CBD from Monday 25 February to Sunday the 3 March, and it will umbrella the Australian International Documentary Conference.
The Conference will be staged at the Intercontinental Hotel, from February 25 – 28, as part of the DocWeek program.
The DocWeek program will also feature:
• a retrospective of the works of, and an evening conversation with legendary award winning filmmakers DA Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus
• screenings of current and retrospective work by internationally acclaimed master filmmakers
• over 30 documentaries
• a competition strand for new talent; The F4 Award
• master classes facilitated by visiting international guests and artist conversations
• a free screening program celebrating 100 years of Australian documentary curated and presented in partnership with the National Film and Sound Archive
The 2013 Conference will also further its focus on financing competitive factual media content for a global market.
AIDC’s Marketplace is open for all factual genres like documentary, factual entertainment, scripted and non-scripted reality.
With major international networks already confirmed, AIDC’s Marketplace is expected to be productive and exciting.
