Aussie indie Sacred Heart sells international rights

European sales agency Devilworks has acquired international rights to the Australian independent feature Sacred Heart starring, David Field.

Sacred Heart is written and directed by Kosta Nikas and stars David Field, Kipan Rothbury and Lizzie Schebesta.

It is produced by Screenlight Pictures Pty Ltd.

Director, Kosta Nikas, said it was damn hard as independent filmmakers to connect with the right sales agency.

"Unlike other sales agents where your title gets lost in the heap, Devilworks liaises closely with producers to ensure optimum sales strategies and results," he said.

"We’re the perfect fit for each other."

Devilworks chief executive, Matteo Rolleri, who negotiated the deal with Nikas said he was over the moon with the collaboration.

"It is such an intelligent and powerful film, which has great scope," he said.

"The script is eclectic, the performance at its finest and the direction is exceptional."

Devilworks recently concluded deals on a host of genre titles including Devil May Call, starring Tyler Mane, to Level Film in Canada; Afterimages to MovieCloud for Taiwan and Company L for Korea; The Vineyard to Lighthouse Entertainment for Germany, Austria and Switzerland; Shopping Tour to Terracotta Distribution for UK and Ireland; Time Lapse to Australia and New Zealand with Bounty and The Maid’s Room to Spain with Atresmedia Cine, The Maid's Room and 'The Vineyard' to Virtual Cinema in China and 'Some Kind Of Hate' to Icon  Distribution in UK.
