AFTRS, Australia’s national screen arts and broadcast school, has reaffirmed its reputation as one of the world’s leading film schools with respected industry journal The Hollywood Reporter putting the school at 13 on its list of top international film schools.
The school, which recently announced an exciting range of new courses for 2015, is renowned for its quality education, state of the art production facilities and its ability to attract leading industry professionals as lecturers.
The new three-year Bachelor of Arts in Screen, available from 2015, is designed to prepare Australia’s next generation of creative practitioners to be the leaders in their respective fields, providing a deeply engaging learning experience that will develop critical thinking and creative engagement.
The BA will prepare graduates to be nimble operators in a platform agnostic world. It fuses deep scholarly engagement with the art of storytelling. The BA has been designed to ‘future-proof’ graduates for a changing and dynamic world post tertiary studies.
In addition, AFTRS is offering a slate of new, accessible and flexibly delivered tertiary Award courses for 2015. The all- new courses offer specialist, skills-based content and are taught by industry practitioners. They are all part-time and FEE-HELP approved. Some of these exciting new courses are delivered 100% online – so students can study at a time that suits them.
The 2014 AFTRS Open Day, to be held on Saturday September 6, is a chance for prospective students and their families to tour the school and meet with AFTRS teaching staff.
