PRESS RELEASE
On Tuesday 28th January, Endemol Australia in conjunction with NDR and TVPlus Germany, will commence production of the second season of In Your Dreams.
The 26 part teen comedy drama series will once again be screened by Channel 7 Australia and KIKA in Germany after its successful first season was broadcast in late 2013. Shooting of In Your Dreams 2 will take place over 24 weeks with the initial ten weeks in Australia followed by three months in Germany.
Noel Price, Endemol Australia’s Executive Producer of Children’s Television said, “It's great to be back in production with a second series of this delightful show. The brilliant cast, sharp scripts, great locations and high production values that were such cornerstones of the first series will all be in evidence again. I'm sure the show's enthusiastic followers around the world will be just as entertained by this series as they were by the first."
The first season of In Your Dreams followed the story of two Australian teenagers’ chaotic visit to their aristocratic (and very eccentric) relatives who live in an ancient European castle. In season 2, Sam and Ben are settling back into life in Australia when these relatives arrive unexpectedly and things suddenly go pear shaped when one is arrested and can’t return to Germany. The Australian twins must then make choices that will affect the lives of everyone around them.
Starring Australia’s Tessa de Josselin and David Delmenico alongside Germany’s Jörn Knebel and Soma Alusia Pysall, In Your Dreams 2 is co-funded by Screen Australia and Screen New South Wales with global distribution by Endemol Worldwide Distribution.
