Leading Australian entertainment, hospitality & leisure company, Amalgamated Holdings Limited (AHL) will open the latest addition to its Event Cinemas group within Top Ryde City Shopping Centre on Thursday, December 16, 2010.
The state-of-the-art multi-million dollar new facility will be the first fully digital cinema complex to be opened in NSW and will boast a gigantic Vmax auditorium equipped with world leading digital 3D technology, 25 metre screen, bigger seats, more leg room and an architect designed Vmax bar serving up the best in café style foods and alcoholic beverages.
The complex will also feature seven other digital auditoriums capable of showing new release blockbusters, quality films and alternate content such as live music, concerts and sporting matches in 3D and 2D.
There are also luxurious lounge areas, a self-serve Scoop Alley for delicious candybar treats and more.
The location is easily accessible with best parking on level two brown (entry via Pope Street) in the Top Ryde City shopping centre carpark.
There will be a blockbuster selection of movies from day one with the season’s most anticipated release Tron Legacy to screen in eye-popping digital 3D in Vmax.
Plus, there will be exclusive advance screenings of The Tourist starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp and Morning Glory with Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton and Rachel McAdams.
Special advance screenings of Disney’s fractured family fairytale Tangled will also feature from January 1 to January 5, 2011.

Tickets for Top Ryde City will be on sale online at eventcinemas.com.au from this Thursday, 9 December 2010.
Event Cinemas popular Christmas Movie Gift Cards, which are also on sale now, will be redeemable at the new Top Ryde City location and can be purchased on site from opening day.
