British comedy legend Rowan Atkinson was in Sydney on the weekend – with his entourage of cast and crew – for the world premiere of his latest film Johnny English Reborn.
Hundreds of fans packed the area outside the Hoyts complex at Sydney's Entertainment Quarter, hoping to get up-close-and-personal to the stars.
Joining Atkinson, who is best known for Mr Bean and Blackadder, was Gillian Anderson (X-Files) and Rosamund Pike (Die Another Day) – who both star in the Universal Pictures comedy – as well as director Oliver Parker and producer Chris Clark. The Rolls Royce driven in the film was even shipped out for Sunday's premiere.
Johnny English Reborn – a follow-up to the 2003 spy-comedy, Johnny English – sees Atkinson attempting to stop a group of international assassins before they eliminate a world leader and cause global chaos.
The film opens on September 15.
