The ABC will dole out a healthy dose of comedy nostalgia to audiences in 2023 in the form of a reimagined version of classic sitcom 'Mother and Son', as well as fresh episodes of the bureaucratic comedy 'Utopia'.
Marta Dusseldorp will be joined by a hefty ensemble cast when shooting starts next week in Tasmania on her comedic crime drama, ABC's 'Bay of Fires'.
Finding stories with heart and humour from fresh voices will be a key commissioning focus for Australia's public broadcasters in 2023 as they seek to emphasise their point of difference in an evolving marketplace.
"Tassie-noir" 'Bay of Fires', co-created and produced by and starring Marta Dusseldorp, is set to premiere on the ABC July 16, 8.30pm.
