KOJO brings post-production and VFX offering to Melbourne

KOJO has expanded its long-form post-production, visual effects and motion design services to Melbourne, offering edit suites, a colour DI room, a motion design studio and VFX seats.

The facility, located in Richmond, is already in use on KOJO’s own series Gold Diggers, produced with Stampede Ventures for the ABC and CBS.

There are three edit suites and two assistant stations. The VFX approach is modular and has the capacity to expand as required, capping at around 10 seats.

Colour grading facilities will be commissioned in the coming months; KOJO has more than 100 DI colour credits for features such as Hotel Mumbai, The Babadook, Wolf Creek, The Nightingale and The Lucky One, as well as upcoming films such as Paul Schrader’s Master Gardener, Talk To Me, and You Won’t Find Me.

Post-production and VFX executive director Marty Pepper leads KOJO’s creative and technical teams and will work closely with clients to deliver the creative vision for DOPs, directors and studios.

“We have been fortunate to work with some incredible filmmakers, producers and studios over the past three decades. With the addition of our Melbourne team, based in our Richmond studio, I am extremely excited to continue the delivery of world class work and creativity to our clients in Victoria,” he said.

The motion design team is led by director Jack Prenc, and works full-time across a range of services.
