Looming decisions from the Federal Government about the shape of content obligations for SVOD services have given the country's free-to-air broadcasters plenty of food for thought as they attempt to maintain momentum in an increasingly competitive market.
Six screenwriters have been chosen to take part in the 'NCIS: Sydney' S1 Script Department Program, with Rachael Alford, Ella Cook, James Cripps, Siobhan Domingo, Josh Sambono and Clare Sladden to work within the script department for the upcoming drama.
Five early-mid career screenwriters will have the opportunity to join the script department for Australian NCIS series, 'NCIS: Sydney', as part of a new initiative from Screen Australia, Paramount Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), CBS Studios, and Endemol Shine Australia.
Australia will soon have its own version of the global NCIS franchise, with streaming service Paramount+ and CBS Studios to begin production on 'NCIS: Sydney'.
