WIFT Australia has announced that applications are open for MentorHer (previously known as Big Screen Sister in NSW), a three-month program that facilitates mentorships between emerging, early career practitioners or those looking to shift into a new area in the screen industry as well as more experienced practitioners.
The initiative offers support and guidance to help further careers in all areas of the screen industry. WIFT will match mentors and mentees who will begin with a face-to-face meeting in September. This will be followed by a call or Skype in October and a final call or Skype in November.
Applications close on Sunday August 5. WIFT will notify mentors and mentees of pairings on September 4. Those who apply as a mentee must be WIFT members. WIFT welcomes applications for mentors from non-members and from men.
