Production on major WA family feature Whale Shark Jack remains delayed more than a year after the Screen Australia-supported film was first announced.

The Western Australian government will put almost $19 million into the state's screen industry to attract international and domestic production and boost skills capacity.
Nearly 30 projects, including a new animated series from Ludo Studio, will benefit from more than $810,000 of story development funding from Screen Australia.
Screen Australia will support three new placements as part of its BTL: Next Step initiative, as well as six programs/projects via its Skills Development Fund, with the recipients sharing $560,000 of industry development funding.
Screen Queensland is set to introduce a $3 million, three-year business enterprise fund to bolster the state's screen businesses and build capacity for local IP.
Screenrights has opened applications for its 2024 Cultural Fund, which has grown to incorporate a $300,000 grant pool.
New seasons of Helium drama 'Last King of the Cross' and ABC children's program 'Spooky Files', as well as a sequel to 2003 crime caper 'Gettin Square', have been included in the latest round of production funding from Screen Australia, which will support 11 projects with $6.9 million.
Screen Queensland has announced more support for games developers, upping the funding available through its Games Grants program to $200,000 per round.
